Written public comment will be accepted on the review document until January 20, 2000.

Written comments should be sent to:

A final summary of the changes to the Public Use(Restriction!) Plan will be released following analysis of the written comments received (public comment will be ignored, again. This has been documented, and the TPWD itself admits it ignored pro-climber input), development of revised (they will slap on even more restrictions, we predict) recommendations, if deemed appropriate, and completion of internal Parks and Wildlife approval processes . As feasible, implementation of any changes will be accomplished prior to the beginning of fiscal year 2001 on September 1, 2000.

Thank you for your interest in Hueco Tanks State Historical Park and for assisting Texas Parks and Wildlife with protection of the priceless natural and cultural resources of the site. We look forward (they are annoyed by, actually) to receiving (ignoring) your input regarding Parks and Wildlife stewardship (autocratic mismanagement) of this important (not for the reasons they state) area.

Sincerely,

Andrew Sansom
Executive Director
